According to reports, Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan heading toward the National Monument (Monas) in Central Jakarta was temporarily used as an informal parking area for dozens of large buses on Saturday (07 February).

• The buses were parked from the Jakarta City Hall area up to the main gate of Monas, occupying two traffic lanes and leaving only one lane for passing vehicles. 
• As a result, traffic flow in the area became congested and slow-moving. The buses, each with an estimated capacity of around 60 passengers, were seen empty while drivers and assistants waited nearby for passengers to return.
