As per reports, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has initiated additional preparedness measures due to an expected surge in dengue cases during the monsoon season.
• Accordingly, it has appointed a nodal officer in all its hospitals while the CMO in-charge has been given the responsibility of monitoring the cleanliness of the hospital premises.
• 70 beds in Hindu Rao Hospital, 75 beds in Kasturba Hospital and 22 beds in Swami Dayanand Hospital have been reserved for patients affected by dengue and malaria.
• The corporation’s hospital administration has informed that malaria and dengue testing kits are adequately available in hospitals and health centers. The stock of diagnostic kits, medicines, IV fluids is being monitored regularly.
