As per reports, trade unions Confederazione Generale Italiana del Lavoro (CGIL), Confederazione Italiana Sindacati Lavoratori (CISL) and Unione Italiana del Lavoro (UIL) are promoting a joint demonstration on the occasion of Labour Day, continuing a tradition that is renewed every year, on Thursday (01 May) in Varese.

• A procession with meeting is scheduled at 0900 hours (local time) in Piazza Repubblica and arrival in Piazza Monte Grappa. On the stage, there will be speeches by union delegates and musical events.
• The title chosen for the 2025 edition, in line with the national one, is ‘United for safe work’. The event focuses on the issue of health and safety in the workplace, reaffirming that the protection of workers’ lives cannot be considered an optional extra or a cost to be reduced.
