As per reports, special maritime traffic arrangements have been implemented in connection with the National Day warship visit, with the Chinese Navy’s Qi Jiguang and Yimengshan warships stationed in Hong Kong and open to the public for visits from Wednesday (01 October) to Thursday (02 October).
Special maritime traffic measures will be implemented on Tuesday (30 September) and Friday (03 October) mornings, resulting in temporary adjustments to multiple intra-harbor and outlying island ferry service.
• Central to Cheung Chau: On Tuesday (30 September), departing from Cheung Chau, the 0820 hours sailing is cancelled, and the 0840 hours sailing is postponed to 0850 hours. Departing from Central, the 0900 hours sailing is cancelled. On Friday (03 October), departing from Central, the 1015 hours sailing is cancelled, and the 1045 hours sailing is postponed to 1100 hours.
• Central to Mui Wo: On Tuesday (30 September), departing from Mui Wo, the 0830 hours sailing is cancelled, and the 0845 hours sailing is postponed to 0905 hours (high-speed ferry replacement). Departing from Central, the 0900 hours sailing is cancelled. On Friday (03 October), departing from Mui Wo, the 0940 hours sailing is advanced to 0930 hours, and the 1000 hours sailing is postponed to 1020 hours. Departing from Central, the 1030 hours sailing is cancelled.
• Central to Ping Chau: On Tuesday (30 September), departing from Ping Chau, the 0835 hours sailing is advanced to 0825 hours. Departing from Central, the 0800 hours sailing is advanced to 0755 hours, and the 0915 hours sailing is delayed to 0930 hours. On Friday (03 October), departing from Ping Chau, the 1000 hours sailing is delayed to 1030 hours. Departing from Central, the 1045 hours sailing is delayed to 1100 hours.
• Ping Chau to Hei Ling Chau (special flight): On Tuesday (30 September), the 0945 hours sailing is postponed to 1005 hours. On Friday (03 October), the 1115 hours sailing is postponed to 1130 hours.
• Central to Yung Shue Wan: On Tuesday (30 September), departing from Yung Shue Wan, the 0840 hours sailing is advanced to 0830 hours, and the 0900 hours sailing is delayed to 0910 hours. Departing from Central, the 0850 hours sailing is advanced to 0840 hours, and the 0910 hours sailing is cancelled. On Friday (03 October), departing from Central, the 1010 hours sailing is advanced to 1000 hours.
• Central to Sok Kwu Wan: On Friday (03 October), the 1020 hours sailing is advanced to 1000 hours.
• Central to Ma Wan: On Tuesday (30 September), departing from Ma Wan, the 0900 hours sailing is delayed to 0915 hours. Departing from Central, the 0850 hours sailing is advanced to 0845 hours, and the 0930 hours sailing is delayed to 0945 hours. On Friday (03 October), departing from Ma Wan, the 1000 hours sailing is cancelled. Departing from Central, the 1030 hours sailing is cancelled.
• Central to Discovery Bay: On Tuesday (30 September), departing from Discovery Bay, the 0815 hours sailing is advanced to 0810 hours, and the 0830 hours sailing is advanced to 0820 hours. The 0850 hours and 0910 hours sailings are cancelled. Departing from Central, the 0840 hours and 0910 hours sailings are cancelled. On Friday (03 October), departing from Discovery Bay, the 1010 hours sailing is cancelled. Departing from Central, the 1010 hours and 1040 hours sailings are cancelled.
• Inland ferry services: On Tuesday (30 September), from 0830 to 0930 hours, temporary adjustments of up to 30 minutes may affect the following routes: Wan Chai-Tsim Sha Tsui, Central-Tsim Sha Tsui, North Point-Hung Hom, North Point-Kowloon City, Central-Hung Hom, North Point-Kwun Tong, water taxi, Sai Wan Ho-Kwun Tong, and Sai Wan Ho-Sam Ka Chuen. On Friday (03 October), from 1045 to 1145 hours, temporary adjustments of up to 30 minutes may affect the same inland ferry routes.
• Land transport measures: To accommodate ferry schedule adjustments, enhanced bus services will be introduced. New Lantao Bus route 3M will strengthen services between Mui Wo Ferry Pier and Tung Chung Station. Residents Bus route DB03R will strengthen services between Discovery Bay and Sunny Bay. A free shuttle service will operate from Discovery Bay to Central Pier 03. Residents Bus route NR338S will strengthen its circular service between Ma Wan (Tung Wan Bus Terminus) and Central Pier 02 on Friday (03 October).
