According to reports, several key locations in Australia are anticipated to witness major congestion and crowding on New Year’s Eve on Tuesday (31 December).
• Thousands of people are expected to flock to Perth’s city centre on New Year’s Eve to attend events scheduled for New Year celebrations at the following areas: Elizabeth Quay, Barrack Square, Claremont, Supreme Court Gardens, Rockingham and Northbridge.
• Additional New Year celebrations are anticipated in the city of Mandurah.
• Thousands of spectators have already gathered at key locations to view the New Year fireworks event at the Opera House and marshalling point at Bradfield Park from Tuesday morning.
• Additional fire work viewing locations are Mrs Macquarie’s Point, Barangaroo Reserve, McKell Park in Darling Point, Simmons Point and Thornton Park in Balmain.
• In Melbourne city several locations are anticipated to face congestion and large public gathering at Docklands, the Shrine, Flagstaff Gardens ,Treasury Gardens and Geelong for viewing New Year’s Eve fireworks display.
