As per reports, approximately 34,500 judicial employees across lower courts in Maharashtra are preparing for a massive statewide protest to demand pay parity with the staff of the Bombay High Court.

The Maharashtra State Judicial Employees Federation, representing various sub-cadres like stenographers, bailiffs, and Class IV staff, declared the upcoming protest due to long-standing disparities in wages and delayed pay reforms.

• If discussions with the state government and high court management fail to yield results, a full-scale indefinite strike could disrupt daily judicial proceedings and administrative functions in lower courts statewide.
• Phased protest programme include Sunday (06 September), employees will wear black ribbons while performing their duties,
16-17 October, two-day protest will occur by wearing black ribbons, on 05 November, mass leave protest will occur, and from 16 November indefinite strike will happen if the demand remains unresolved.
