Magnitude 5.6 earthquake reported in Costa Rica on Saturday (13 July)

As per reports, a magnitude 5.6 earthquake was recorded approximately 40 kilometres southeast of Golfito de Puntarenas at around 1533 hours (local time) on Saturday (13 July). The earthquake was recorded at a depth of two kilometres.

Five minutes later, at 1338 hours (local time), the Volcanological and Seismological Observatory of Costa Rica (Ovsicori) recorded another tremor with a magnitude of 4.3, with an epicenter 33 kilometers southeast of Golfito. The depth of the second tremor was recorded at 0.8 kilometers.
