As per reports, a magnitude 4.9 earthquake was recorded in the national capital of Islamabad on Wednesday (03 January).
The depth of the earthquake was 137 kilometres underground, the epicentre was the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border.
The seismic activity was also felt in Rawalpindi, Attock, and Chakwal.
