Magnitude 4.7 earthquake recorded near the coast of Nicaragua on Sunday (31 May)

As per reports, a 4.7 magnitude earthquake was recorded approximately 54 kilometres south of San Rafael del Sur in Managua Department, Nicaragua, and 79 kilometres south-southwest of Masaya, on Sunday (31 May).

The earthquake was recorded at 1114 hours local time (1714 hours UTC) on Sunday (31 May) at a depth of 58 kilometres, classifying it as a shallow-focus event, and the epicentre was located at 11.361 degrees North, 86.452 degrees West.
