As per reports, on Tuesday (12 March), at around 0537 hours (local time) a magnitude 4.4 earthquake was reported 14 kilometres north of Lipari Island, Sicily, Italy.

The earthquake had a moderate depth of 243 kilometers and was not reportedly felt.
