As per reports, a 4.1 magnitude earthquake was recorded approximately 87 kilometres southwest of Tuxtla, Mexico, on Wednesday (22 April).

The earthquake was recorded at 0637 hours local time (1237 hours UTC) at an intermediate depth of 118 kilometres, with the epicentre located at 16.259 degrees North, 93.744 degrees West.
