As per reports, Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) union suspended planned London Underground strike action scheduled for Tuesday (19 May) and Thursday (21 May) following discussions with Transport for London (TfL).

• According to the RMT, the employer shifted its position regarding proposed roster arrangements, allowing further discussions concerning fatigue, safety concerns, and working conditions linked to the proposed voluntary four-day working week arrangement for Tube drivers.
• Despite the suspension of strikes scheduled for Tuesday (19 May) and Thursday (21 May), as well as planned industrial action on 16 June and 18 June, the RMT stated that the dispute remains unresolved and announced fresh 24-hour strike dates for 02 and 04 June if negotiations fail to progress.
• The dispute centers around the RMT’s opposition to TfL’s proposed voluntary compressed four-day working week model. The Aslef train drivers’ union, which supports the proposal, stated that the arrangement would provide participating drivers with additional leave days in exchange for adjustments to working conditions.
• TfL stated that discussions with trade unions regarding implementation of the proposals would continue.
