As per reports, due to heavy rains on Sunday (15 June) and Monday (16 June), a landslide occurred on Monday (16 June) at Km 119+500 and Km 120+750 on National Highway 12 through Huoi Leng commune, Muong Cha district (Dien Bien). The landslide completely blocked the road connecting Dien Bien Phu city with Muong Lay town.
