Landslide reported on Kedarnath Highway as of Sunday (12 July)

As per reports, a landslide has been reported on Kedarnath Highway, at Munkatiya near Sonprayag as of Sunday (12 July). Earthmoving machinery, including JCBs have been deployed to clear debris. The local administration has advised pilgrims and residents to remain cautious during periods of heavy rainfall, stay at safe locations, avoid unnecessary movement and follow official advisories.

In neighbouring Tehri Garhwal district, traffic on the Nainbagh route has also been temporarily suspended after debris fell near Musssorie Bend (Kempty).
