Landslide reported in Dimapur; authorities issue restrictions for heavy vehicles until Tuesday (08 October)

As per reports, the movement of heavy motor vehicles (HMV) from Dimapur to Kohima/Imphal has been hampered due to a landslide at the Old KMC dumping site on Friday (04 October).

Consequently, the Commissioner of Police (Dimapur), in a traffic advisory, has informed that no heavy vehicles proceeding from Dimapur-Chümoukedima to Kohima/Imphal would be allowed to proceed beyond Patkai-Chathe River Bridge for a period of 96 hours [until around evening hours of Tuesday (08 October)] till the accumulation of vehicles was cleared and normalcy of traffic was restored.
