Kazhydromet issues weather warnings across Kazakhstan on Thursday (09 April)

The National Hydrometeorological Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Kazhydromet) has issued the following weather warnings across Kazakhstan on Thursday (09 April):

• Thunderstorms, rainfall, and strong winds are expected in multiple regions, including Astana, Taraz, Zhezkazgan, Karaganda, and Kyzylorda, with gusts ranging between 15 and 20 metres per second.
• In the Ulytau Region, rainfall, thunderstorms, heavy rainfall, hail, and squalls are expected, particularly in western and southern areas, with fog likely during night and morning hours.
• Karaganda Region is expected to experience rainfall, thunderstorms, and fog, while high fire danger persists in the southern parts of the region.
• Heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and squalls are forecast in the Kyzylorda Region, with strong winds of 15-20 metres per second and high fire danger in eastern areas.
• In the Aktobe and Mangistau regions, localized thunderstorms, fog, and strong winds are expected.
• Fog conditions are likely across Abai Region, East Kazakhstan Region, and parts of North Kazakhstan Region, particularly during night and morning hours.
• In the Turkestan Region, including Shymkent, heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, hail, and squalls are expected in mountainous and foothill areas, with strong winds of 15-20 metres per second and high fire danger in several parts.
• Rainfall and thunderstorms are also expected across Zhambyl, Kostanay, and Akmola regions, with fog and strong winds affecting multiple districts.
• Mixed precipitation (rainfall and snowfall) and strong winds are expected in the North Kazakhstan Region, with gusts reaching 15-20 metres per second.
