As per reports, on Monday (29 July), junior doctors staged a protest demanding better pay and addressing issues with the PG NEET exam dates. They gathered outside the M.Y Hospital campus, holding placards and shouting slogans, expressing their frustration with the state government.

• The junior doctors stated that the honorarium they receive is significantly lower compared to other states, making it difficult for them to survive. Additionally, they are upset about the PG NEET exam date being changed four times, with no final date yet decided, potentially wasting an entire academic year for the students.
• The protesting doctors highlighted that their families depend on their income, but the current honorarium is insufficient to support them. They also mentioned the high workload in the hospital. The junior doctors warned that if their demands are not met, they might go on an indefinite strike.
