As per reports, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has stated that his party has decided to boycott the by-elections and will be holding protests in different cities from 25 April. The party will start a protest movement named ‘Awami Assembly’ from Balochistan’s Pishin on 25 April. The ‘Awami Assembly’ will take place in Karachi on 02 May and on 09 May in Peshawar. The JUI-F will also decide on a date for Lahore.

The party will boycott the upcoming by-elections, scheduled to take place on 21 April, on the national and provincial assembly seats that had been left vacant following the 08 February general elections.
