Jaffar Express suspended on Wednesday (24 September) after 23 September IED blast in Balochistan

As per reports, the Jaffar Express (Peshawar to Quetta) has suspended its operations indefinitely on Wednesday (24 September) after being struck by a bomb on Tuesday (23 September) in the Spizend area, Mastung District, in Pakistan’s Balochistan Province.

The bombing resulted in injuries to 12 people (including women and children), and caused six carriages to derail. A military probe into the incident is ongoing, while repair works on the tracks commenced on Wednesday (24 September).
