The Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police services has issued caution against potential disruptions in the Jakarta and West Java area, due to the following planned protests/rallies, as of Saturday (09 August);

• At 1300 hours WIB: At Grand Mutiara Swarga Housing Complex, Jl. Raya Pondok Mandala, Tugu Subdistrict, Cimanggis District, Depok City, West Java; approximately 30 members of the Mafia Eradication Student Alliance (Aliansi Mahasiswa Brantas Mafia) will stage a protest concerning the legitimacy of the ownership/land of the Grand Mutiara Swarga project, which is considered ‘unlawful and still under dispute’.
• At 1500 hours WIB: In front of the United States Embassy, Jl. Merdeka Selatan, Central Jakarta; approximately 50 members of the Indonesian Youth Alliance for Palestine (Aliansi Pemuda Indonesia) will stage a peaceful protest in solidarity with Palestine and in support of Palestinian independence.
