As per reports, the Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police Services has issued a caution against potential disruptions in the Jakarta and West Java area, due to the following planned protests/rallies, as of Friday (29 August):

• At 1300 WIB: In front of The Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police (Metro Jaya Regional Police), Jl. Jenderal Sudirman Kav. 55, Senayan, South Jakarta. A large number of student members ( the total is still unknown) from the All-Indonesian Students’ Executive Body (BEM SI), BEM UI (University of Indonesia), and other universities such as UPVNJ (Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta) have rallied students across the Greater Jakarta area (Jabodetabek) to stage a demonstration under the exclamation “Tanya Brimob” (“Ask Brimob”) and #APARATKEPARAT (rotten officials)
• At 1300 WIB in front of the DPP PKB Office, Jl. Raden Saleh Raya, Central Jakarta. Around 30 people from Masyarakat Anti Korupsi Indonesia will stage a demonstration demanding a thorough investigation into alleged extortion in the K3 certification process at the Ministry of Manpower, involving a former Minister of Manpower and PKB party cadres.
• At 1600 WIB in front of the U.S. Embassy, Jl. Merdeka Selatan, Central Jakarta. Around 50 people from the Aqsa Working Group will stage a demonstration demanding solidarity with Palestine to save Gaza residents from starvation.
