The Indian Embassy in Thailand issued travel advisory for Thai-Cambodia border on Thursday (11 December). As per the advisory, Indian travelers who plan to visit these areas have been advised to check updates from Thai official sources, including TAT Newsroom.

Further, the advisory stated that travel across Thailand remains normal and unaffected. Security measures have been heightened in selected areas along the Thailand–Cambodia border, with temporary adjustments to rail and bus services near affected districts.

• Rail services to Ban Khlong Luek Border Checkpoint are suspended; trains now operate only between Bangkok and Aranyaprathet.
• Bus services at Kantharalak Bus Terminal in Si Sa Ket is temporarily closed; passengers advised to use the Karnchang Intersection as the designated stop.
• Road travellers should avoid Route 348 in Buri Ram and follow local guidance.
• These restrictions apply only to specific border zones. Major destinations—Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Samui, Krabi, Pattaya, Ayutthaya continue to welcome visitors as usual.
