The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued weather alerts in some Indian metro cities as of Wednesday (25 June). The warnings are as follows:
• For Wednesday (25 June):
– Yellow alert for heavy rainfall, thunderstorm, lightning, and squall in Gurugram and Noida. No alert has been issued in Delhi.
– Yellow alert for thunderstorm, lightning, squall and strong surface winds has been issued in Hyderabad.
– Yellow alert for thunderstorm, lightning, and squall has been issued in Thiruvananthapuram.
– Yellow alert for heavy rainfall, thunderstorm, lightning, squall and strong surface winds has been issued in Ahmedabad.
– Yellow alert for heavy rainfall has been issued for Mumbai. No alert has been issued for Pune.
– Yellow alert for thunderstorm, lightning, squall and strong surface winds has been issued in Kolkata.
– Yellow alert for thunderstorm, lightning, squall and strong surface winds has been issued in Bengaluru.
– No alert has been issued for Chennai.
• For Thursday (26 June):
– Yellow alert for heavy rainfall, thunderstorm, lightning, and squall has been issued in Delhi, Noida and Gurugram.
– Yellow alert for thunderstorm, lightning, squall and strong surface winds has been issued in Hyderabad.
– Yellow alert for thunderstorm, lightning, squall and strong surface winds has been issued in Ahmedabad.
– Yellow alert for thunderstorm, lightning, and squall has been issued in Thiruvananthapuram.
– Yellow alert for thunderstorm, lightning, squall and strong surface winds has been issued in Bengaluru.
– No alerts have been issued for Pune. Yellow alert for heavy rainfall has been issued for Mumbai.
