The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued weather alerts in the following metro cities, as of Friday (03 October):

• Mumbai and Pune – No weather warnings have been issued for Mumbai and Pune in the forecast. A yellow warning for moderate to light rainfall has been issued for the nowcast till 0700 hours.
• Delhi, Gurugram, and Noida – No warnings have been issued for Delhi, Gurugram and Noida in the forecast or the nowcast.
• Bengaluru – A yellow alert for thunderstorm, lightning, squall, and strong surface wind has been issued in the forecast. Nowcast updates are awaited.
• Hyderabad – A yellow alert for thunderstorm, lightning, squall, and strong surface wind has been issued in the forecast. No warning has been issued in the nowcast.
• Chennai- A yellow alert for thunderstorm, lightning, squall, and strong surface wind has been issued in the forecast. A yellow warning for moderate rainfall has been issued for the nowcast till 0700 hours.
• Kolkata – A yellow alert for thunderstorm, lightning, squall, and strong surface wind has been issued in the forecast. A yellow warning for light rainfall with thunderstorms has been issued for the nowcast till 0600 hours.
• Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar: No warning has been issued in the forecast or nowcast.
