As per reports, Victoria Police have ramped up police presence at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) ahead of the Boxing Day Test scheduled for Friday (26 December).

The enhanced security measures follow the recent terror attack in Bondi, Sydney, and include the deployment of specialist police units conducting patrols in and around the MCG precinct, including surrounding public areas and transport access points. Authorities stated that the measures are precautionary and not linked to any specific threat to the event.
