As per reports, the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology has issued a notification on weather conditions from Wednesday to Friday (12-14 June). A low pressure covers the Gulf of Thailand, Cambodia, the central Mekong Basin and the South China Sea.
• Lowland area: Minimum temperature 23 degrees Celsius and maximum temperature 33 degrees Celsius is expected. Winds from the southwest and southeast average 2.5 meters per second. Banteay Meanchey, Battambang, Siem Reap, Pursat, Kampong Chhnang, Kampong Thom, Kampong Cham, Tbong Khmum, Prey Veng, Svay Rieng, Takeo, Kandal and Phnom Penh are likely to experience rain with thunder and gust covering 15 percent of the area.
• Highlands: Minimum temperature 23 degrees Celsius and maximum temperature 32 degrees Celsius is expected. Winds from southwest and east have an average speed of 2.5 meters per second. Kampong Speu, Kratie, Ratanakkiri, Mondulkiri, Cardamom and Dangrek mountain ranges may experience rain with thunder, lightning and gust covering 10 percent of the area.
• Coastal area: Minimum temperature 23 degrees Celsius and maximum temperature 32 degrees Celsius. Southwesterly winds average 5.5 meters / second. Koh Kong, Sihanoukville, Kampot, Kep and Bokor mountains are likely to experience rain with thunder, lightning and gusts covering 20 percent of the area. Wave height has a minimum average height of 1.50 meters and a maximum average height of 2.50 meters.
