As per reports, sudden weather changes are expected across large parts of Egypt on Tuesday (23 December), marked by dense fog, light rainfall, and significantly colder temperatures, particularly during early morning and nighttime hours.
• Affected areas include Greater Cairo and Northern Lower Egypt including Cairo, Giza, Qalyubia, Sharqia, Dakahlia, Gharbia, and Monufia, Mediterranean coastal areas including Alexandria, Matrouh, Beheira, Kafr El-Sheikh, Damietta, and Port Said, Northern Upper Egypt including Minya, Beni Suef, and Fayoum, Southern Upper Egypt including Sohag, Qena, Luxor, Aswan and Senai.
• Dense water fog expected on roads linking northern Egypt to Greater Cairo, extending through northern Upper Egypt and central Sinai, with periods of very low visibility.
• Low cloud cover over Greater Cairo, Canal Cities, and central Sinai, with a chance of light rainfall.
• Light to moderate rainfall possible in Mediterranean coastal areas and northern Lower Egypt, with moderate rainfall at times in Halayeb and Shalateen.
• Very cold conditions are expected at night, despite relatively mild daytime temperatures.
