As per reports, heavy rainfall and flooding is expected to continue in southern England on Thursday (04 January) and Friday (05 January), with cold wave to continue through England. Power outages have been reported to affect south west of England, southern and central Wales, and the Midlands on Thursday (04 January).
• Flooding is likely to continue in southern England in Cornwall, Suffolk, and River Ritec in Tenby, Pembrokeshire. Rail services have been suspended between Liskeard and Looe in Cornwall due to waterlogging.
• Services have also been shut between Bristol Parkway and Swindon due to flooding, with diversions reported between London Paddington and South Wales on Thursday (04 January).
• Frost conditions are expected as temperatures could fall to negative five degrees Celius in northern England and negative two degrees Celsius in southern areas by Sunday (07 January).
• Flood warnings have been issued for River Anker at Mancetter and Polesworth, Witherley and Atherstone; River Avon at Ashow, Blackdown, Barford, Hampton Lucy, Alveston, Evesham, Tiddington, Guys Cliffe, Emscote, Harvington, Offenham, Little Lawford, Newnham Grounds, Stratford upon Avon, Warwick, Weston, and Welford.
• Flood warnings have also been issued for River Blythe at Blyth End; River Cherwell from below Banbury to just above Upper Heyford; River Leam at Eathorpe, Huningham and Offchurch; and River Soar at Aylestone.
• Flood alerts have been issued for Middle Avon Rugby to Bidford; River Dene in South East Warwickshire; River Stour in South Warwickshire; River Sowe, River Sherbourne, Canley Brook and Finham Brook; and River Leam and River Itchen.
• Flood alerts are in place as Nottinghamshire continues to suffer the effects of Storm Henk, with closures reported on the A1 northbound at Markham Moor and Gunthorpe Bridge near Lowdham on Thursday (04 January).
