As per reports, the Met Office issued yellow rainfall warnings for parts of London & South East England, South West England, Wales and West Midlands through Sunday (29 September).
• The warning will be in effect from 1600 hours local time on Sunday (29 September) to 0900 hours local time on Monday (30 September). The warning areas are likely to experience 20-30 mm of rainfall over 09-12 hours, though some places may see 50-80 mm. These higher accumulations are most likely across higher ground in south Wales, Dartmoor and the Dorset Downs.
• The areas under the warning include: in London and South East England including Brighton and Hove, East Sussex, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Oxfordshire, Portsmouth, Southampton, Surrey, West Berkshire, and West Sussex. In South West England, the areas are Bath and North East Somerset, Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole, Bristol, Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, North Somerset, Plymouth, Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Swindon, Torbay, and Wiltshire. Wales includes Blaenau Gwent, Bridgend, Caerphilly, Cardiff, Carmarthenshire, Merthyr Tydfil, Monmouthshire, Neath Port Talbot, Newport, Pembrokeshire, Powys, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Swansea, Torfaen, Vale of Glamorgan, and West Midlands’ Herefordshire.
• A yellow warning for wind has also been issued across south-west England and Wales which will be in effect until 2359 hours local time on Sunday (29 September). Gusts of between 50mph and 60mph could occur.
• The Marston Vale line in Bedfordshire, which operates services between Bedford and Bletchley, is suspended until Monday (30 September) because of standing water on the track.
