As per reports, isolated thunderstorms along with heavy rainfall are possible in parts of central Texas throughout the day on Monday (10 June) and Tuesday (11 June).
The areas in North Texas include Dallas Fort Worth, Sherman, Cisco, Waco, Killeen, Palestine, southwest Hill Country, and southern Austin-metro as well.
• In Central Texas, the possibility of thunderstorms is likely between 1400 hours to 0000 hours (local time), wherein severe weather is expected 1700 hours to 2200 hours (local time). The areas include Tatum, Artesia, Carlsbad, Hobbs, Lamesa, Jal, Odessa/Midland, Pecos, Snyder, McCamey, Big Spring, Big Lake, Fort Stockton, Alpine, and Sanderson.
• Additionally, the 46th annual Great Texas Balloon Race in Longview has been canceled for Monday (10 June) due to changing weather conditions and has been postponed to Tuesday (11 June) morning.
• The National Weather Service has issued a river flooding warning in Chambers County, Liberty County, Liberty County, Polk County, Polk County, and San Jacinto County, which will be in effect until 0330 hours local time on Tuesday (11 June).
