As per reports, according to the National Environmental Agency, from the early hours of Thursday (21 August) until the end of the day, short-term rainfall, heavy in some areas, is expected in most of Western Georgia and some regions of Eastern Georgia.
• In addition, certain mountainous regions of Western Georgia may experience very strong thunderstorms, hail, and strong westerly winds.
• Authorities further warn that the expected rainfall may cause flash floods on small rivers in Georgia, along with the initiation and activation of landslides and mudslides in hilly and mountainous areas. The danger level is assessed as medium.
