According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a yellow alert for thunderstorm, lightning, and squall with strong surface winds has been issued for the entire state on Tuesday (29 April).

Affected districts include Peren, Dimapur, Kohima, Wokha, Mon, Mokokchung, Zunheboto, Tuensang, Phek, Kiphire and Longleng.
