The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an orange alert in parts of Uttar Pradesh on Monday (06 January). Cold day can be expected in Lucknow, Bahraich, Unnao, Kanpur, Etawah, Barabanki, Gonda, Ayodhya, Raebareli, Sitapur, Fatehpur, Amethi, Gorakhpur, and Basti. A yellow alert for fog can be likely in Ghaziabad, and Noida.
