As per reports, holiday has been declared for schools and colleges in parts of Kerala due to heavy rainfall on Friday (28 June). The holiday has been announced for six districts of Kerala including Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Alappuzha, Idukki, Ernakulam and Wayanad. Apart from this, all the professional exams scheduled for the day will take place as per schedule.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange warning for very heavy rainfall in Kannur, Wayanad and Kasargod on Friday (28 June). A yellow warning has been issued for heavy rainfall for the rest of the districts, except Kollam and Thiruvananthapuram where no warnings have been issued.
