As per reports, the Italian Ministry of Health has issued a heat alert for 27 cities in the country Wednesday (10 July) at least until Friday (12 July).
In 11 cities a red alert for high temperatures has been issued, wherein temperatures could exceed 40 degrees Celsius.
• In Bologna, Campobasso, Florence, Frosinone, Latina, Perugia, Pescara, Rieti, Rome, Trieste, and Viterbo, high temperatures between 34 degrees Celsius and 40 degrees Celsius are expected.
• In Venice, Reggio Calabria, Brescia, Verona, and Turin, an orange alert is in effect, wherein temperatures between 30 degrees Celsius and 34 degrees Celsius are expected. Milan could rise up to 33 degrees Celsius but with high humidity rates.
• The forecast indicates that at night, the heat will also be intense, with minimum temperatures exceeding 20 degrees Celsius in practically the entire country.
• In the islands of Sicily, and Sardinia, the maximum temperatures expected are between 42 degrees Celsius and 43 degrees Celsius.
