As per reports, the Kuwait Meteorology Department has forecast that the country will be affected by an extension of the Indian monsoon depression between Friday (27 June) and Sunday (29 June).

• This will be accompanied by a hot and dry air mass and northwesterly to variable winds, expected to range from light to moderate speeds but occasionally active at intervals. These conditions are likely to trigger dust storms in open areas and produce high sea waves.
• On Friday (27 June), the weather is expected to be extremely hot with northwesterly to variable winds between with wind speeds ranging between 10–40 kilometres per hour and sea waves from two to five feet. Temperatures are expected to remain extremely high during the day (46–48 degrees Celsius) and hot at night, with minimum temperatures between 30–32 degrees Celsius.
• On Saturday (28 June), maximum temperatures may rise further to 47–49 degrees Celsius. Wind activity between 10–42 kilometres per hour may continue, with possible dust storms in open areas. The evening is expected to remain hot (31–33 degrees Celsius), and sea waves are forecast at one to five feet. On Sunday (29 June), a surge in heat is expected across Kuwait.
