As per reports, on Tuesday (25 November) night, Pakistani forces launched airstrikes in multiple provinces in Afghanistan, including Khost, Kunar, and Paktika.

• The strikes reportedly targeted militants but resulted in the deaths of at least ten Afghan civilians, including nine children, in Khost province, with additional injuries reported in other areas.
• This escalation happens despite an ongoing ceasefire mediated earlier by Qatar and Turkey.
• Afghan Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid condemned the airstrikes, asserting Afghanistan’s right to self-defense and vowing a necessary response at an appropriate time.
