As per reports, French authorities are implementing heightened security presence on Sunday (13 July) and Monday (14 July), deploying 11,500 police officers, gendarmes, and firefighters across Paris and its inner suburbs.
• The massive security deployment is designed to manage the convergence of multiple high-profile events, including France’s national day celebrations (Bastille Day) and the PSG-Chelsea Club World Cup Final, which is being played in New York but will be watched by thousands in Paris.
• The security operation centers on the Champs-Élysées corridor, where traditional July 14th military parade preparations have already begun. Starting at 1900 hours (local time) on Sunday (13 July), authorities will implement strict traffic restrictions, making Place de l’Étoile and Place de la Concorde completely inaccessible to both vehicular and pedestrian traffic. The Paris Police Prefecture has issued a zero-tolerance policy for any gatherings on the Champs-Élysées during this period.
• A comprehensive decree has been issued prohibiting large gatherings for the purpose of watching event broadcasts, including fan zones and public screens, from Sunday (13 July) at 2000 hours until Monday 0300 hours (local time) on Monday (14 July).
• Public Prosecutor Laure Beccuau has stated there is “no major cause for concern in terms of public order” but promised “a firm criminal policy” for any incidents.
