According to Davao City Overland Transport Terminal (Dcott) manager, heightened security measures will be implemented at the terminal to ensure passenger safety ahead of Holy Week.
The following measures will be implemented:
• Dcott Gate 7 will be open exclusively for senior citizens, pregnant women, mothers, and passengers with minimal baggage.
• Strict enforcement of a ‘No Pick- up Policy’ to urge passengers to discourage passengers from boarding buses outside of the terminal.
• Deployment of additional tech baggage scanners with an increased capacity of 200 kilograms to streamline inspections.
• Personnel will monitor 32 CCTV cameras around the clock.
• Bus operators were advised to secure special permits from the Land Transportation Office (LTO) to deploy additional buses to accommodate an increased number of passengers.
