As per reports, according to Environment Canada, low pressure system will move through Ontario from Friday (17 January) night through Saturday (18 January) morning hours resulting in widespread snowfall, though with variable totals.
• Between five to 15 cm of snowfall is forecast for northern and central Ontario, and areas along the Lake Huron shorelines, while less than five cm of snow is likely for the Highway 401 corridor.
• The snow could mix with rainfall near Lake Ontario and Lake Erie.
• Strong winds will develop ahead of the cold front, with gusts of up to 40-60 km/h are possible.
