As per reports, continuous heavy snowfall in Rukum East has blocked Lukum–Patihalna stretch in Bhume Rural Municipality–1 (section of the Mid-Hill Highway), leaving vehicles and passengers, including night buses from Friday (20 March), stranded as of Saturday (21 March).

Persistent snowfall and rainfall are impeding clearance efforts. Telecommunication services also remain disrupted.
