As per reports, the National Institute of Meteorology (INAM) has issued a weather alert for moderate to heavy rainfall in Mozambique from Tuesday (02 December).

• The warning is expected to affect Maputo, Gaza and Inhambane Provinces from the afternoon hours of Tuesday (02 December), continuing into Wednesday (03 December).
• The rainfall may be accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds, particularly in districts of Maputo, all districts of Gaza, and multiple districts and cities of Inhambane Province including Zavala, Inharrime, Jangamo, Panda, Homoíne, Morrumbene, Massinga, Funhalouro, Vilankulo, Maxixe and Inhambane City.
• For central provinces (Tete, Zambézia, Manica, Sofala), INAM forecasts partly cloudy to very cloudy skies, with light to moderate rainfall, locally heavy at times, alongside thunderstorms and light to moderate northeast–east winds.
• For northern provinces (Niassa, Cabo Delgado, Nampula), partly cloudy to very cloudy conditions are expected, with a possibility of light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms.
