As per the weather forecast by China Meteorological Administration, heavy rainfall is expected in parts of Chongqing, Hunan, Hubei, Jiangsu, Guizhou, and Shandong on Monday (21 October). Moreover, moderate to heavy snow and local blizzards are likely in some areas of Jilin and Heilongjiang. Following are the latest updates:

• Until 0800 hours (local time) on Tuesday (22 October), heavy rainfall is likely to occur in southern Chongqing, central and eastern Guizhou, western Hunan, southern Hubei, central Anhui, central and southern Jiangsu, Shandong Peninsula and other places, as per CMA forecast.
• It is expected that until Tuesday (22 October), moderate to heavy rain can also be expected in parts of the eastern part of Northeast China, with moderate to heavy snow in some areas and local blizzards including eastern Jilin and eastern Heilongjiang.
• From 0800 hours on Monday (21 October) to 0800 hours on Tuesday (22 October), parts of central and western Inner Mongolia and northeastern Inner Mongolia, northwestern Heilongjiang, southern and eastern Tibet, southern Qinghai, Hexi, Gansu, northern Hebei, and northern Southwest China will have light snow or sleet, among which parts of northeastern Inner Mongolia will have moderate snow. Parts of northeastern Inner Mongolia will have winds of 6-7 level, as per CMA.
• From 0800 hours on Monday (21 October) to 0800 hours on Tuesday (22 October), parts of eastern and northern Northeast China, northeastern Northwest China, southern Shaanxi, central and northern North China, most of Huanghuai, Jianghuai, Jianghan, northern and western Jiangnan, northeastern Fujian, most of Southwest China, western Guangxi, Hainan Island, and Taiwan Island will have moderate rain, among which parts of Shandong Peninsula, central Jiangsu, northern and southern Hubei, western Hunan, and southeastern Chongqing will have heavy rain.
• Moderate sleet and snow will likely to continue in the northern western Sichuan Plateau on Monday (21 October).
• As per the CMA forecast, until Thursday (24 October), there will be light snow in parts of northeastern Heilongjiang, northern Xinjiang and eastern Xinjiang, northern and southern Tibet, northern Hebei, and southern Sichuan Plateau. Among them, there will be sleet in parts of eastern Heilongjiang and eastern Jilin, and local sleet in southeastern Heilongjiang and eastern Jilin. Moreover, there will be heavy rain in parts of eastern Jilin until Thursday (24 October).
