The Thai Meteorological Department has issued rainfall warning on Saturday (22 June) amid strong southwest monsoon over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf.

Warning for heavy rainfall and flash floods have been activated in the following areas –

• Saturday (22 June) – Northeast: Bueng Kan, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Mukdahan, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, Surin, Sisaket and Ubon Ratchathani.Central: Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Nakhon Pathom and Samut Songkhram.East: Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.South: Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket, Krabi and Trang.
• On 23-24 June 2024Sunday-Monday (23-24 June) -North: Mae Hong Son, Chiang Rai, Phayao, Nan, Uttaradit and Tak.Northeast: Loei, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Nong Bua Lamphu, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Kalasin, Mukdahan, Roi Et, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, Surin, Sisaket and Ubon Ratchathani.Central: Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Nakhon Pathom and Samut Songkhram.East: Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.South: Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket, Krabi and Trang.
• Tuesday-Wednesday (25-26 June) – North: Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lamphun, Lampang, Phayao, Nan, Phrae, Uttaradit, Tak and Phitsanulok.Northeast: Loei, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Nong Bua Lamphu, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Kalasin, Mukdahan, Amnat Charoen and Ubon Ratchathani.Central: Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Nakhon Pathom and Samut Songkhram.East: Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.South: Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket, Krabi and Trang.
• Additionally, strong winds are anticipated to force the wave up to 2-3 meters high in the Andaman Sea and above 3 meters high in thundershowers while the waves in the Gulf are 1-2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
