As per reports, the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs announced on Sunday (20 September) that registration for the Hajj season 1448 AH is scheduled to open for Omani citizens and eligible residents from Sunday (28 September) to 11 October.
• Reports indicate that the ministry held an expanded meeting with owners of approved Hajj and Umrah companies to review updates and initiatives for the 1448 AH season, as well as observations from the previous 1447 AH season.
• Reportedly, the ministry has introduced several service initiatives for the coming season, including strategic contracting for air transport services, activation of Taif Airport as an alternative destination, organisation of the Second Hajj Conference and Exhibition, a unified electronic screen initiative and measures related to medical capabilities.
• The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs manages the registration, company licensing and service coordination process for Omani citizens and eligible residents wishing to participate.
