As per reports, on Tuesday (18 November), the Greenpeace Indonesia activists staged a peaceful demonstration at the Muara Karang Gas-Fired Power Plant (PLTGU) in Jakarta, calling for a bold energy transition and criticising the government’s reliance on fossil gas, which they argue undermines climate ambitions.
During the protest, activists reportedly held large banners and symbolically drew attention to the high-emission infrastructure, demanding a faster and more just transition toward renewable energy.
