As per reports, train services across Israel are gradually resuming as of Sunday (24 August) following more than a week of nationwide disruptions caused by a severe infrastructure failure.

• Over the past week, commuters have faced significant delays, overcrowding, and disrupted travel. Israel Railways has since undertaken continuous repair work and accelerated safety upgrades on Tel Aviv tracks.
• As part of a phased reopening, Tel Aviv HaHagana, Lod Ganei Aviv, and Kfar Chabad stations are resuming service, while the Beit Shemesh–Netanya line will temporarily terminate at Lod.
• By 01 September, rail traffic across the country is expected to largely return, though some lines will still require transfers. Full service is scheduled to be restored by 01 September, with adjustments such as the Ashkelon–Binyamina line terminating at Herzliya and the suspension of direct Karmiel–Be’er Sheva trains until the beginning of next month.
