Goods train derailment reported near Narayanpur station in Bihar on Thursday (31 October)

As per reports, a rail accident occurred in Muzaffarpur district, Bihar, where three bogies of a goods train carrying oil tankers derailed near Narayanpur railway station on the Muzaffarpur-Samastipur section. The incident took place while empty oil tankers were being moved from the Narayanpur depot to the yard. In response, all train operations on the Muzaffarpur-Samastipur line were halted at stations before Muzaffarpur.

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) teams promptly arrived on-site, while senior railway officials were alerted, and a technical team was called to investigate the incident. Efforts to clear the derailed bogies and restore services are underway.
