As per reports, Germany has issued a partial travel warning for Venezuela, strongly advising its citizens on Monday (24 November) not to travel to the country. The advisory highlights a tense and unstable national environment that could deteriorate suddenly.

• The advisory draws focus to critical risks along the borders with Colombia and Brazil, specifically in the Venezuelan states of Amazonas, Apure, Barinas, Táchira, and Zulia. These areas face a high incidence of organized crime, including kidnappings and violent offenses.
• In Apure, armed clashes between government forces and criminal groups, such as drug cartels and former guerrilla elements, occur regularly. Authorities note that the borders with Colombia and Brazil may be closed at short notice.
• Widespread infrastructure disruptions continue to affect most of the country, including Caracas International Airport. Venezuela faces recurring power outages, unstable mobile networks, limited internet connectivity, lack of drinking water, gas shortages, and supply-driven protests that can escalate into clashes. Transport by air remains highly limited due to suspended international routes, reduced seat availability, short notice cancellations, and concerns about aircraft maintenance standards.
