As per reports, German authorities have arrested five men suspected of plotting a terrorist attack on a Christmas market in southern Bavaria state, planning to use a vehicle to ram into crowds and maximize casualties.

The arrests were made based on intelligence inputs amid heightened security measures since the 2024 Magdeburg market attack which resulted in the death of six people and hundreds injured.
